I first visited Leanne at the end of last summer after developing anxiety issues during the pandemic. I felt instantly at ease when I walked into her treatment room, and felt incredibly peaceful after my first visit. I continue to see Leanne every 3/4 weeks and each session is led with professionalism, whilst still delivering a very personal service. I would absolutely recommend Leanne.

Acupuncture and IVF / IUI / ICSI
This style of acupuncture is different to others in that there are no formulas or set protocols - instead each treatment is tailored to your particular needs as you go through IVF.
Ideally patients should start acupuncture treatment prior to beginning IVF. Six to eight weeks is optimal, though not essential. When working with patients undergoing IVF, the goal of the acupuncture treatment is to make the body as receptive as possible to the process. This is achieved by administering acupuncture treatments once a week up until the procedure date.

Acupuncture and male infertility
Even if your sperm parameters show no particular abnormalities, enhancing your overall well-being can only be a benefit when it comes to conception.
As for women, the treatment will be tailored to your individual needs. Rest assured that should you come for treatment to specifically benefit the male reproductive system, the points that will be used are located mainly on the lower back and lower leg. At no point will you need to remove your underclothes.

Pregnancy and beyond
Hopefully this will be a happy and exciting time for you. But pregnancy can also lead to anxieties and unexpected feelings, especially if you’ve been trying to conceive for a long time, have had fertility treatment or have suffered a miscarriage.
Traditional Chinese medicine has promoted specialised treatment for women who are pregnant or who have recently given birth. Many women choose to have acupuncture throughout their pregnancy. Please see the research pregnancy fact sheets produced by the British Acupuncture Council.
