Who comes for acupuncture treatment?
Anyone! People of all ages - from small children to the elderly - can benefit from acupuncture treatment. For young children, treatment can be carried out using acupressure instead of needles.
Who can benefit from acupuncture?
Many people use acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or conditions, often when they have failed to find relief with Western medicine. Some come with a range of symptoms which seem trivial but which have a significant effect on their lives. Others choose acupuncture as a preventive measure to strengthen their constitution or because they just feel generally unwell. Acupuncture works to maintain the body’s equilibrium by focusing on all aspects of well-being - physical, mental and emotional. It can be very effective when integrated with conventional medicine.
Each patient is unique: two people with the same Western diagnoses may well receive different acupuncture treatments. Treatment is aimed at the root of your condition as well as your main symptoms. This approach helps with combating your problem and enhancing your overall feeling of well-being.
